Name a more iconic duo than Lady Gaga and Vogue. No seriously, we dare you. We've carried a torch for the singer's stream of soul-catching ballads-and beauty looks-for years, but just in case we needed a reminder beforeВ A Star Is Born (YouTube the trailer immediately, please), Gaga showed up on the cover ofВ Vogue'sВ October issue burning brighter than ever. We were drawn like moths to a flame. The flickering lure? AВ dreamy wash of rose-gold eye shadow, which was expertly draped over the singer's lids by go-to makeup artist Sarah Tanno.В
After becoming obsessed with ID'ing the exactВ product behindВ Gaga's minimalist, doe-eyed cover look, we quickly discovered it's none other than a cult-favorite pick from Marc Jacobs Beauty. Specifically, theВ Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette Coconut Fantasy Collection in Fantascene ($49).
According to Vogue, the cover introduces the world to the singer's new pared-down look, which happens to coincide beautifully with her newest movie character, Ally, andВ dramatically juxtaposes the meat dress days of yesteryear. Sure, she's still rocking her signature platinum blonde strands, but the rest of her aesthetic is noticeably muted yet oh so stunning in a makeup vehicle of soft baby pink.
As reported to us via press release, the entire look was created with Marc Jacobs Beauty products. First, Tanno primed Gaga's skin withВ Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($44) before skillfully layering theВ Shameless Youthful-Look 24H Foundation SPF 25 ($46) on top. ForВ someВ subtle yet glimmering luminosity, she addedВ Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in Dew You? ($44) along the high points of the singer's face.В
For eyes and lips, the brand explains Tanno went for the softer pink shades from theВ Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette in Fantascene ($49) and a swipe of theВ Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick in Sugar Sugar ($28), which imparts a soft, champagne-gold wash of shimmer to the pout.
So now that we know what our eye shadow MO will be for the rest of the season, we curated a lust-worthy stash of the best rose-gold eye shadows ever toВ exist, at least in our humble opinion. Keep scrolling for Team Byrdie's eight all-time favorites inspired by the singer'sВ eye-catching cover look.В
