Fenty BeautyВ is one of the buzziest makeup brands of the moment. It has been ever since it's official launch a couple of months back. We think it's so popular for two reasons. The first is the most obvious: It's backed by the queen of cool herself, Rihanna. She's super-stylish, multi-talented, and kind of untouchable but somehow still relatable (yeah, we don't understand how that works, either). The second reason is because of the products themselves. They're inclusive, effective, and super chic. Just look to theВ Killawatt Freestyle HighlighterВ ($34) or the 40 shades of herВ Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear FoundationВ ($34) for proof.
Last week she announced the newest product coming to Fenty Beauty-a liquid lipstick. (This comes on the heels of herВ Fenty Beauty Holiday Collection reveal just a couple of weeks earlier). From glamorous gold packaging to the ruby red lip color found inside, it's truly stunning. Now, she's filmed a short makeup tutorial, showing her fans just how pigmented and smooth the new formula is.В Keep scrolling toВ see Rihanna's tutorial!
Rihanna posted thisВ short video to her Instagram, captioning it "#stunna don't laugh at my tutorial skillz." While her own music plays in the background, she applies the new lip paint, which looks absolutely gorgeous. First off, it applies smoothly and seamlessly across her lips. Second, the pigment is rich, vivid, and truly opaque. We think it's totally deserving of the "Stunna" name.
From the looks of it, the lip paint dries down to a demi-matte finish even though it goes on like a liquid. It also looks like it only requires one coat for maximum color impact. Rihanna uses a single swipe of the product, only going back in to touch up the corners at the end.
If you think this color looks familiar, you're not alone. We have a suspicion that it's the very same red shade she wore on the red carpet at the European premiere of "Valerian." After all, it has the same ruby-red hue.
Keeping with Fenty Beauty's theme of inclusiveness and diversity, the brand posted this image along with the hashtag #ONEREDFORALL,В which we think meansВ it was created with every unique skin tone in mind. If so, that's really cool, seeingВ how red lipstick can be a tough beauty product to buy for some people. Finding the perfect shade that flatters our skin tone and makes us feel confident isn't exactly easy-there are just so many factors, like warm vs. cool undertones, varying degrees of brightness, and different finishes. Because of this, we're really excited to see if Rihanna's red lip is truly universal.
Remember to set a reminder on your phone, because the Stunna Lip Paint debuts on November 23 on the Fenty Beauty website and Sephora.В Act quickly, because we're assuming this will sell out fast (especially after Rihanna's personal application tutorial).
