Beauty products are expensive-that's been well-documented. But that doesn't mean we don't still dream about the perfect nude makeup palette or a moisturizer that will banish dry skin for good. Pair that with the fact that we're practically addicted to online shopping, and a reliable, discounted source for makeup and skincare is at the top of our must-have list. So we did just that: We rounded up a few top makeup artists and had them reveal their go-to websites for cheap beauty products.
Below, find nine resources to satiate your love of beauty but also spare your bank account.
1. Harmon Discount
Harmon Discount is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bed Bath & Beyond that sells popular name brand cosmetics like L'OrГ©al, Maybelline, Revlon, CoverGirl, Neutrogena, Physicians Formula, Essie, and many more. And it houses an extensive assortment of facial, hand, and body brands including Ahava, Olay, and Aveeno. "Harmon Discount is my ultimate favorite. It's super inexpensive for drugstore beauty products, so I buy everything in bulk," says Ashlee Glazer, Laura Geller's global artistic director.
2. Forever 21
Forever 21 recently expanded its beauty department (now called Riley Rose) to include K-beauty favorites, Millennial Pink packaging, and all-natural options-for a steal. “Forever 21 is another one of my favorite inexpensive places to shop for beauty," says Glazer. "I love to buy makeup bags for travel and fun products (like lip glosses shaped like unicorns).”
3. Madame Madeline
"I love Madame Madeline for brand-name lashes at a discount," says makeup artist Mary Irwin. The online shop offers discounted offerings from Ardell, Revlon, Mink Lashes, and so many more.
"I've gotten super-high-end makeup (think Koh Gen Do and Kevyn Aucoin) from Hautelook," says Irwin. "Plus it's far too easy to throw in a sweater or a purse while you're there," she adds. Each day, new beauty events are curated to feature your favorite brands for up to 75% off.
5. Frends Beauty
"It's a makeup artist's secret," says Irwin. "The folks at Frends Beauty stock all professional artist brands and give you a discount just for signing up for an account." The site carries up to 50,000 products, and it's constantly updated, so it'll more than likely have what you're looking for in stock and for a great price.
“QVC.com is another great site that carries prestige lines at great deals, like a Tatcha three-piece set, favorites from Laura Geller, and St. Tropez," says Glazer.
"Target!" exclaims model and makeup artist Stephany Andujar. "The beauty section is amazing-they have an under-$10 section as well as an all-natural section. You can get amazing shipping deals depending on how much you spend, and Target always does store checks if your item is sold out."
"Glambot sells cosmetics and other beauty goodies at discounted prices," says Andujar. "The coolest part, though, is this website gives you the opportunity to buy or sell gently used or unwanted high-end makeup and skincare products (at a fraction of the cost). They also have filtered sections if you're looking for products under $10, $15, and $25."
"I love Ipsy and Birchbox for beauty kits," says makeup artist Kristine Cruz at the Antonio Prieto Salon. "For just $10 a month, you get to try new upcoming makeup and skin care products tailored to you (and your needs). Each box comes with five samples and a small makeup bag. All the sample-size makeup is perfect for traveling or just throwing it in your purse."
