Claudia SchifferВ needs no introduction. She changed fashion and beauty forever, with help fromВ the creative geniuses of legendary designers, photographers, and stylists. She basically ruled the 1990s alongside the likes of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Helena Christensen, and Kate Moss. To this day, many famous fashion icons name her as a personal muse. (She's definitely one of ours; we regularly refer to her namesake icy yellow hair as "Claudia Schiffer Blonde.")
Her influence was most recently put on displayВ at Versace's S/S 18 runway show during Milan Fashion Week when she took the floor with four of her famous peers (Crawford, Campbell, Christensen, and Carla Bruni) to celebrate the late Gianni Versace. This surprise appearance made ourВ jaws drop to the floor, but she didn't stop there. Soon after, she opened up to Vogue ParisВ about her career, her famous friends, and even her perspective on the new generation of supermodels.

In the interview, which took place right after the Versace show surprise appearance, Schiffer took a moment to reflect on her friendships with the other famous 90s girls. "We stay in contact through various ways," she said, "whether that's through Instagram, email or over the phone. And whenever we are in the same place at the same time, we try to hook up, although that sometimes isn't that easy."
With Cindy Crawford, specifically, she says "I think that bond and connection we share will probably never stop. It feels like a high school reunion whenever I see Cindy again." That warms our hearts; we love knowing the ultimate power group stays close and fond of one anotherВ almost 20 years later.В
In the show, Schiffer and the other women were styled in gold gowns with a powerful smoky eye and volumized hair (perhaps in a nod to their trademark '90s looks? Either way, it left us reaching for Verb's Volume Spray, $16). This was different than the rest of the models, who wore sleek hair with subtle monochromatic makeup, as to not distract from the vividly bright collection.
One of these models was Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford's lookalike daughter. This was significant because it's the first time a designer show was a mother-daughter event. Crawford'sВ son, Presley, is also interested in modeling, having walked for Dolce & Gabbana. "It's great what Kaia and Presley are doing," Schiffer toldВ Vogue.В "It couldn't be better having Cindy as their mom, looking over them to make sure they are going in the right direction, the right path - protected and secure."
This is Gerber's first fashion month, and she's already garnered praise from one of the most iconic supermodels of all time. How's that for your daily dose of support and positivity?
