This Is Not a Drill: Urban Decay Is Launching a Brand-New Naked Palette

Urban Decay's Naked Palette ($54) is the stuff of legend. At this point, we'd argue that it's a classic beauty product-like red lipstick and Chanel No. 5-albeit much newer (after all, it's only been around for a little under a decade's time). Since the cult favorite palette was launched in 2010, we've seen a bevy of different versions. The most recent was the Naked Heat Palette ($54), which features 12 shades of warm-toned neutrals ranging from luminescent beige to fiery ochre, purple, and brick red colors. It's essentially Naked's take on the red and pink eye shadow trend of late. And we love it.

Today, though, Urban Decay took to Instagram to unveil the next Naked palette to join the brand's ranks. It's smaller than the others and just as on trend. It's a mini version of the Heat Palette.

The brand posted this image of the palette on Instagram, captioning it "Get ready to create looks that are flat-out-fire with Naked Petite Heat. With 5 matte shades plus one demi-matte highlighting shade, you have everything you need to create endless sizzling eye looks. Check out our IG stories to see when Naked Petite Heat is coming to you!"

The palette is essentially a condensed version of the Naked Heat Palette before it. Instead of the 12 shades the original holds, this one has 6, and it's kept the best ones-we're talking about beige, pearlescent pink, amber, ochre, brick red, and eggplant purple. Basically, it allows for no-fuss shadow pairings and applications. It's especially good for frequent travelers, as it's more compact than the original. It's also a good option for people who don't want to spring for the original's $54 price tag. Since this has half the shades, we're assuming it will be half the cost.

According to the brand's Instagram Stories, this new palette will hit store shelves on February 22. That's if you're in the U.S. If you're in Canada or Europe, you'll have to wait until March 1. The latest launch date is May 1, and that's for Mexico.
