Celebrities are like mythical creatures sometimes-when it comes to both genetics and access to top-of-the-line diet tips. So much so that agingВ is barely a part of the equation. Or at least, that's the way it seems to those who look at them, in awe, as they strut down red carpets and tropical beaches.В
For that very reason, we thought it important to look to Hollywood A-listers who have seemingly found the fountain of youth-women we've noticed have figured out how to maintain line-less faces and toned, healthy bodies well beyond their 30s, 40s, and 50s. How can we do it too? Well, we collected their best diet tips to get the ball rolling. Each one focuses on healthy eating (most of the time, because balance) and feel-good choices. No fad diets, no trendy cleanses. Below, find 12 of their recommendations.В

"I eat healthy fats all day long-avocado, oil, coconut oil-and I use butter but don't have any sugar. So when your body gets trained to burn fats, it's constantly on fat-burning mode-that's the secret."
Cameron Diaz, 45Getty Images
"Every body is different," Diaz told Nutrition Stripped, "and we need to listen to our bodies in order to nourish them. When I was younger I didn't quite understand the equation, because I hadn't yet collected the information. As soon as I started learning about the concept of being connected to my own body, that all changed. I started listening to people who knew about the science of the body.
"Basically, every time I eat, I eat lean protein, some carbs and good fats for energy, and something leafy and green for nutrients and fiber-I'm not really a snacker, potentially as a result of getting everything I need at each meal… I don't do sweets."
Julia Roberts, 50Getty Images
"We definitely try to eat mindfully," Roberts told InStyle. "As I always say to my kids, 'You have to eat the good stuff to get the good stuff.'"
Zoe Saldana, 40Getty Images
"I don't believe in cheat days because I don't believe in diets," Saldana tells Shape. "I try not to deprive my body of anything, because the moment I have just salads and protein for a few days, I crave carbs. But when I eat everything in balance, I think less about food and more about everything else. It's about eating to live, not living to eat."
Jennifer Lopez, 48Getty Images
"I'm a very social person and love spending time with my friends and family, so when we go out to eat I try to make healthy choices," Lopez told Hello!В magazine. "Most restaurants offer healthy, low-calorie meals so I watch for things on the menu that fit my lifestyle. I'll have a salad or some fish with veggies. And I make sure I drink lots of water throughout the meal."
She adds, "Protein is my go-to whenever I start having cravings. It fills me up and keeps me full longer. It's a great muscle fuel."
SofГa Vergara, 45Getty Images
"I do have a lot of fruits and vegetables, and we cook fresh meats," Vergara told Self. "But I also have ice cream and dessert and we do that during the weekend. I try to control myself during the week."
Nicole Kidman, 50Getty Images
"I go out on the tour bus with Keith. There's a lot of junk food on the bus… I'm just not someone that believes in denial," Kidman tells Women's Health. "It's walking a path that's ultimately 80 percent healthy, 20 percent… sometimes it falls to 70. But that's why I think you have things like natural health remedies-you find out what works for you."
Salma Hayek, 51Getty Images
"I embrace fat, the good fat," Hayek told Extra. "This is very important, and I make a bone broth that you can look up on the internet. It's very good for your health and it's full of collagen. When you drink it, it's like fat… I think people are afraid of fat, and fat is your friend."
Kim Kardashian West, 37Getty Images
"When it comes to food, I try to be as clean as possible,” Kardashian West tells People. "I eat lean protein with plenty of veggies, fruit, and healthy carbs. My trainer, Mel, always says that if it doesn't grow in the soil, you shouldn't eat it, so I try to stick to that rule."
Jennifer Aniston, 49Getty Images
"I don't let eating habits get out of control where I need a reset button,"В В Aniston toldВ Yahoo!В Food. "My general philosophy is to eat healthy. It's pretty clear: eat as much organic fruits and veggies as you can, keep sugar intake low, drink tons and tons of water, and get good sleep.
"I allow myself to indulge once in a while. I'm good at keeping my starches to a minimum. I don't like 'white' foods, and I'll always cut back on some breads if I'm trying to slim down for something special. But I don't give myself any rules anymore."
Mindy Kaling, 38Getty Images
"I like every food: sushi, Ethiopian, French, spicy, sweets. Plus, I was raised to clean my plate, and I've had to come to terms with the fact that I don't have to eat everything on there," Kaling tells Shape. "So on a typical day, I keep it pretty healthy.
"In the morning, I try to have eggs because they're easy to cook even if you're as bad at cooking as I am. I'll poach an egg or two, have a third of an avocado and a piece of Ezekiel toast with butter. That fills me up for a really long time. I'll have a big salad for lunch with chicken or fish on top. For dinner, if I'm home, I'll cook something healthy like a piece of salmon with some spinach. But if I'm going out, I'll order whatever I want and eat half of it. That way I get to taste everything."
Kristen Bell, 37Getty Images
"My best healthy habit is knowing how to read a nutrition label," Bell tells Shape. "Some people look at what the carbs are and that's all they think about. Others check to see what the sugar is. And some people just zero in on the protein. I try to balance everything. Does an avocado have a ton of fat in it? Yes, but it's healthy fat, so have an avocado with sea salt. Same thing with fruit. I pay attention to a food's nutritional value and then balance my diet really well. Like knowing, OK, I've had enough protein today, I'm going to eat carbs for dinner, or vice versa. I appreciate understanding what I'm putting into my body."
